Richards Building Supply Co. acquired the assets of United States Building Supply, expanding the distributor’s presence in Colorado with four locations serving contractors in Colorado Springs, Denver and Loveland.

United States Building Supply distributes siding, windows, gutters and related exterior building products. Richards said it plans to continue investing in the Colorado locations and expand product and service offerings for contractors.

“This acquisition represents another win for family-owned and operated independent distributors,” said Ronald M. Guzior, CEO and president of Richards Building Supply.

USBS owner Dewey Lane will remain with the company following the acquisition.

Richards Building Supply, founded in 1978, distributes residential and commercial roofing materials and other exterior building products through more than 60 branches across 16 states.
