To create a unique patriotic symbol that reflects its values, ABC Supply Co. turned to the infamous father and son duo of Orange County Choppers to create a one-of-a-kind chopper.

The motorcycle was the first project Paul Teutul Sr. and Paul Teutul Jr. collaborated on in over a decade, and was documented in a two-hour television special of “American Chopper” that aired Aug. 4 on the Discovery Channel.

ABC Supply commissioned the project due to the fact that many of its associates enjoy the thrill of the open road, and the motorcycle’s unique design represents the company’s set of Core Values — which include respect, family, and working hard and having fun. The custom motorcycle will eventually travel the country, visiting ABC Supply locations as well as at events to provide associates with a great photo opportunity.

“This motorcycle is a rolling symbol of ABC Supply’s culture and values,” said Mike Jost, chief operating officer at ABC Supply. “Our associates are really excited about this chopper, so it was special for them to see the project come to life on television.”

As cool as the chopper is, the project ended up causing more fireworks between the father-son duo. According to Yahoo! Entertainment, the collaboration ended up being more of Teutul Sr.’s project, with Teutul Jr. feeling his input was ignored. As a result, what should’ve been a bonding experience didn’t go as planned, and fans voiced their frustrations on social media.

This isn’t ABC Supply’s first outing on a beloved television series. The roofing supply company has also sponsored projects with “Military Makeover” to provide deserving military families with home renovations, the most recent of which included a Marine’s home for an episode that premiered Aug. 21.
