TUALATIN, Ore. — Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal has been honored with the prestigious Carlisle SynTec Systems’ 2019 Excellence in Singly-Ply (ESP) Award – the third time the company has received the recognition.

Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal is the only Oregon contractor to earn this year’s honor.

The first award was received in 2016 and second award was received last year. ESP status is an annual award – created 22 years ago by Carlisle – to identify and reward a small percentage of Carlisle’s most dedicated and professionally minded applicators.

According to a Carlisle SynTec Systems’ letter from Nick Shears, President of Carlisle Construction Materials, selection into this elite group is based on a company’s volume and quality of Carlisle single-ply roofing systems.

“Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal has installed and warranted 5,111,121 square feet of Carlisle’s single-ply roofing systems over the years and has completed 122 Perfect 10 installations as judged by Carlisle’s final inspection process,” Shears noted. “It is obvious that your company is committed to installing Carlisle’s roof systems with the utmost care. You are one of a select group … solidifying your elite status (with us).”

Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal CEO Mark Carpenter said his company takes pride in awards like the ESP because it sets his company apart from its competition.

“Industry honors like the ESP award illustrate the quality people who contribute to the success of Columbia Roofing & Sheet Metal,” Carpenter said. “It shows not only our dedication to quality, but our position as an industry leader.”
