AUSTIN, Texas — Travis Roofing Supply has opened a new branch in Nashville.

Travis Roofing Supply is a residential and commercial roofing supply company that was founded in 2015 as a family-owned roofing distribution company in Austin, Texas. Now, the company consists of 21 branches nationally.

Al Burriss and Mark McGuire will act as managing partners of the Nashville branch.

Michael Boy, Travis Roofing Supply’s CEO and Founder, said, “Nashville is a great town with an incredible culture. I am so excited to have Mark join our team and our expansion in the Tennessee market with Bob and Al.”

Al Burriss had previously worked with his father Bob at the Memphis branch of Travis Roofing Supply. He was born and raised in Tennessee and is excited to bring his knowledge of both the roofing industry and local community to the new branch.

Al worked with RSG Roofing Supply and Beacon Roofing Supply and expressed his desire to embrace the family connection on multiple levels.

“I realized I had the chance to be part of something that was aiming to breathe life into an industry that had gone stale,” Burriss said when asked why he made the move to Travis Roofing Supply. “By leading the way in innovation and creating an unbelievable local culture, Travis Roofing Supply proves it’s much more than just a company selling roofing materials.”

Mark McGuire has nearly 20 years of experience in the roofing industry, starting at ABC Supply as an outside sales representative before spending time with RSG Roofing Supply Group.

“I felt like the Nashville roofing market had lost something special when RSG got bought out,” McGuire said. “When Michael Boy and Bob Burriss came to me I saw a great opportunity, not just for me but for all the contractors and roofers in middle Tennessee. They offered a chance to become a new distributor in town that is locally owned and operated by a team of men and women focused on customer service first, with control of their own inventory and credit decisions. Wow! That gets my blood flowing, I could feel the creativity coming back alive in me. I remember the days when Ken Hendricks was active in the business, he encouraged us to think big and think outside of the box. We’re doing that.”

McGuire highlighted the personal touch Travis Roofing Supply delivers, when asked what has been missing in the roofing industry for middle Tennessee. “We are going to bring real customer service back to middle Tennessee, for those companies that really want it and understand that it’s worth something. This is a very exciting time in the history of roofing distribution in Nashville.”
