DALLAS — National Roofing Partners has announced that Tony Rader, NRP vice president of telecom, will serve as the 2019 national chair of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC).

Rader was elected to the position after dedicating 25 years of local, regional and national service to the construction industry.

"Strong leadership is indispensable to ABC's mission to develop people, win work and deliver that work safely, ethically and profitably in our communities across the United States," said Michael Bellaman, ABC president and chief executive officer. "I look forward to working closely with Tony and our 2019 Executive Committee to continue to strengthen our efforts to promote and advocate on behalf of the merit shop construction industry."

"Tony's experience from project management, negotiations, management and leadership skills have been demonstrated with a very successful construction career," stated Steve Little, NRP chief executive officer. "NRP is truly fortunate to have Tony leading our entry into telecommunications and is a strong leader on our executive Level 10 Management Team."

"I am honored to be elected to this position," said Rader. "ABC is vital to the construction industry and I look forward to having impact on the ABC communities and its membership."

Rader, along with other members of ABC’s 2019 Executive Committee, took office Jan. 1.
