Mobile, AL (May 9, 2018) — Nations Roof, the fourth largest commercial roofing contractor in the US, made the announcement that their National Service Center will be relocated to Mobile, Alabama. The move allows Nations Roof to expand not only their National Service Center, but add resources to their growing Business Development Center to better support their 28 locations around the country that serve the roofing needs of commercial building owners in all 50 states.
“We looked at demographics. We looked at the feeder colleges, the labor pool, of course cost of living and things like that. And over every single research criteria, Mobile came out on top,” Rich Nugent, Nations Roof CEO, explained to a group that assembled at the local office. Rich’s comments were applauded by Mayor Sandy Stimpson, two city councilmen as well as local business associates. Mayor Simpson was appreciative of the commitment that Nations Roof is making in Mobile and welcomed the investment and the new jobs that will be created in Mobile.
The Nations Roof office in Mobile was the result of a 2016 merger with Kiker Roofing, which has been serving Lower Alabama customers since 1979. They will maintain its current facility serving local and regional roofing needs with its sheet metal shop and yard in Mobile. In addition, construction has begun at a nearby building that will be the office for their National Service and Business Development Centers.
