RCASoCal Accepting Applications for Jim Nienow Memorial Scholarship until July 14
The Roofing Contractors Association of Southern California (RCASoCal) is accepting applications for the annual Jim Nienow Memorial Scholarship.
The program is open to the families of current RCASoCal members and the applications can be downloaded from the association website. Applications are available in Spanish and must be postmarked by July 14 to qualify.
Since 1993, the association recognized the academic achievements of more than 160 students via the scholarship program and awarded more than $180,000. Last year alone, the association awarded $20,000 to 19 different students. Funds are raised throughout the year and primarily at the association’s annual Jim Nienow Golf Tournament.
More than 150 roofing contractors and industry professionals returned to the Oak Creek Golf Club in Irvine, Calif. last fall to help raise money that helps association members, their families and their employees achieve a college education. The 28th Annual Jim Nienow Golf Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 12 at the same locations.
