FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. — Van Mark Products Corporation is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2014. Founded in 1964 by Gene Van Cleave, Van Mark manufactures portable jobsite bending brakes and installation tools for the residential and commercial construction industries. Doing business globally and based out of Farmington Hills, Mich., Van Mark designs and manufactures tools for the residential roofing, siding, window and gutter installation industries as well as tools for metal roofing and post frame construction.

Van Mark began when Gene Van Cleave founded the business after working as a stone mason and siding and window installer for many years. Recognizing the need for portable jobsite tools, he pioneered, developed and patented many high-quality, long-lasting tools designed to help installers do their jobs more efficiently. He focused on making high-quality, durable tools, a core value that exists at Van Mark to this day. Family owned and operated by the second generation, Van Mark is run by Gene’s son Jeff Van Cleave.
