 PORTER-CABLE announced its new cordless 8V MAX Impact Screwdriver for the tradesman. This new impact screwdriver is ideal for smaller fastening applications. The tool is 6.48 inches long and weighs 1.42 pounds, allowing the tradesman to easily maneuver the tool and complete applications quickly.  In addition, the impact mechanism and motor deliver 0-2,200 RPM and 125 inch-pounds of non-reactionary torque. Other features include a quick-load chuck that allows for one-handed bit loading and release, an LED light that illuminates the work area, and a ¼-inch hex chuck that accepts standard bits. The 8V MAX is a new solution that provides compact size, optimal performance and feature sets which will change the way tradesmen look at fastening applications.
