TROY, Mich. —Roofing Contractor has announced the winners of its 2012 Residential and Commercial Roofing Contractors of the Year.

The Residential Roofing Contractor of the Year is Collis Roofing, headquartered in Longwood, Fla.The Commercial Roofing Contractor of the Year is John A. Dalsin and Son of Minneapolis, Minn.

The magazine accepts nominations from January through August of each year, and announces the winners with the publication of its November issue, which profiles the companies receiving the award. The winners are chosen by a panel consisting of Roofing Contractor’s publisher, editorial staff and editorial advisory board.

The goal of the award is to honor a contractor that employs industry best practices, takes good care of its employees, and excels at quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Roofing Contractor’s motto for the contest is: Remember, we’re not looking for the biggest contractors out there — we’re looking for the best.
