ABC Supply is honored to present the 2011 Ken Hendricks Award to two longtime associates of the company – Reggie Crichton, the manager of our ABC Supply

The Ken Hendricks Award is the most prestigious honor bestowed by our company. It is presented each year to the ABC Supply associates who best exemplify the values that ABC Supply Co-founder Ken Hendricks championed and that continue to serve as our guiding principles today – Respect, Opportunity, Work Hard-Have Fun, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Family, Give Back and American Pride.

Crichton and Schultz, each in very different ways, have shown their dedication and commitment and a desire to serve people in a manner that best represents our core values. They embody the spirit that this honor is intended to recognize, including continued excellence in leadership, initiative, innovation and performance over time, and a desire to improve both themselves and others around them.

Crichton is an energetic and service-oriented professional who considers his co-workers “family.” With his team at the Kahului branch, Crichton regularly participates in building homes for Habitat for Humanity along with many other community service projects. On a personal level, he practices a quiet generosity – volunteering for affordable housing initiatives, assisting the local Boy Scouts and the Maui Fire Department, and distributing food to needy families.

Schultz’s “roll-up-your-sleeves-and-help-philosophy” has made a difference for his family, his church, Special Olympians and ABC Supply customers. This 20-year veteran of ABC Supply is devoted family man, successful salesman, longtime volunteer for Special Olympics, a church deacon and leader of his church’s youth group.

Crichton and Schultz’s life stories are outstanding examples of what can be accomplished by dedicated, hardworking individuals who also are passionate in their concern for the wellbeing of others. There’s no better way to celebrate our beliefs than by honoring associates whose personal and work lives demonstrate character that is true to our core values. They are role models that we can all look up to.
