WAYNE, N.J. — GAF recently concluded a three-month contest for photography of commercial properties. Three winners were selected, each to receive $10,000 from GAF for submitting the winning photos.

The contest was broken into three categories to cover various roofing materials. The single-ply category required the use of EverGuard® TPO or PVC, and did allow for solar or garden roofing on the membrane. The asphaltic category required Ruberoid® APP or SBS or a built-up system featuring GAFGLAS® on a low-slope roof. Lastly, the commercial steep-slope category had to feature the use of GAF shingles or EverGuard® TPO on a steep-slope commercial roof.

The winner in the single-ply category is Tecta America Southeast, LLC for their submission of their own building located in Sanford, Florida. The property featured GAF’s EverGuard® TPO and included a vegetative roof section, a solar energy system, and multiple skylight daylighting.

The asphaltic winner is Kidd Roofing of Austin, Texas for its renovation of the Williamson County Courthouse in Georgetown, Texas. The historical renovation of the 100-year-old building included the use of GAF Ruberoid® modified bitumen membrane.

The steep-slope commercial category winner is Building Maintenance Corporation of Peabody, Mass. for its work on the Wellington Hills Apartments in Manchester, N.H. GAF Timberline® shingles were installed on the steep-slope sections, along with EverGuard® Freedom™ self-adhered TPO under the HVAC housings on the low-slope sections.

“Our contractors do great work. We were really impressed with the quality of the submissions we received, which made it very difficult to pick just one winner in each category,” stated Andrew Romano, project manager at GAF.
