FORT WORTH, Texas –– The North Texas Roofing Contractors Association (NTRCA), announced that it has launched two consumer awareness videos, one for homeowners and one for building owners and property managers. Both videos include important tips and suggested questions to ask of any roofing contractor during the consumer’s selection process.

“In Texas, no insurance is required, and there is no state licensing or registration for roofers,” said Karen Vermaire Fox, executive director of NTRCA. “It is up to consumers to protect themselves from scammers and storm chasers. Our goal is to help arm consumers with questions to ask about any roofing contractor they may speak to or be considering. This information is particularly important as the storm season heats up again this spring in North Texas.”

The videos can be found at NTRCA.com or on YouTube at www.youtube.com/ntrca. Dave Lieber, the founder of Watchdog Nation, is included in the video created for homeowners. Mr. Lieber formed Watchdog Nation after his own roofer went to jail for ripping off unsuspecting customers.
