CARLISLE, Pa. - Carlisle Energy Services, a new division of Carlisle Construction Materials, recently introduced a revolutionary new solar PV system to the commercial roofing industry - Spectro360. Consisting of cylindrical solar tubes and Carlisle’s ENERGY-STAR-qualified roofing membranes, the Spectro360 PV system brings a third dimension to the rooftop PV world where up to 20 percent of the energy production is attributed to light that is reflected off the roofing membrane onto the underside of the cylindrical tubes.

The natural airflow between the Spectro360 cylindrical tubes results in operating temperatures that are significantly lower than those of conventional flat-glass panels, improving both energy output and reliability. The lightweight Spectro360 PV panels are mounted horizontally and do not require angling or spacing, allowing for more coverage of the available roof area and producing more electricity per rooftop annually than a conventional solar panel installation.

The Spectro360 system requires half the labor and time at one-third the installation cost when compared to a typical flat-glass PV panel system. This lightweight, self-ballasted and non-penetrating system was designed specifically for rooftop application and eliminates the negative impact on roof life and performance associated with traditional PV systems.

Additionally, the system allows for easy removal of the panels for roof maintenance or redeployment and its open configuration optimizes performance in harsh weather conditions, such as wind or snow.

The Spectro360 system is available with a 25-year, single-source warranty that covers all PV and roofing components. Full monitoring and long-term service options are also available.
