WASHINGTON - The Roof Assembly Ventilation Coalition (RAVC) announced its first slate of elected officers. RAVC’s new chairman is Gary Urbanski, Sales and Marketing Manager, Trimline Building Products, a division of Diversi-Plast. Urbanski was selected to lead the coalition, which was launched on August 22, 2008, in Washington, D.C., in conjunction with the Asphalt Roofing Manufacturers Association’s Summer Meetings. The RVAC’s mission is to study, monitor and promote the interests of steep-slope roof assembly ventilation through sound theory backed by scientific data.

“It’s a privilege to serve as the chairman of the coalition that will meet the needs of homeowners, builders and regulators as we work to educate people on the sound science and need for roof ventilation,” Urbanski said. “The members of the coalition are indebted to ARMA for recognizing the need to have vent manufacturers and the issue of ventilation as a priority of ARMA’s steep-slope roofing agenda.”

The other officers named at the meeting include Chris Freeman as secretary and Donnie Anderson as treasurer. Both Freeman and Anderson are with Air Vent Inc. and are members of ARMA
