As the result of a recent acquisition, Air Vent Inc., Dallas, has now become part of Gibraltar, Buffalo, N.Y., North America’s largest manufacturer of ventilation products. Previously a subsidiary of CertainTeed Corp., Air Vent will now operate as a subsidiary of Gibraltar.

Founded in 1976, Air Vent was sold to CertainTeed Corp. in 1987. Currently, Air Vent operates three manufacturing facilities in Dallas; Clinton, Iowa; and Lincolnton, N.C. The division manufactures and distributes a complete line of attic and foundation ventilation products and accessories.

Continuing in senior management positions at Air Vent will be Jeff Hansen as vice president of operations; Mike Daniels, vice president of sales; Marianne Horvat as vice president of marketing; Shelly Doubet as customer service manager; as well as all regional managers and local sales representatives. Sam Ansley, who had served as president of CertainTeed’s Ventilation Division, which included Air Vent, has remained with CertainTeed where he continues as president of CertainTeed’s Pipe and Plastics Group.
