CertainTeed Corp., Valley Forge, Pa., congratulates NASCAR driver Ward Burton on his victory in the Daytona 500. Burton’s victory comes as CertainTeed Roofing and Ventilation divisions begin their second year of sponsoring the driver of the #22 Caterpillar Dodge.

“We’re finding that many of our professional roofing contractors and distributor customers are big racing fans,” says John Donaldson, president of CertainTeed’s Roofing Products Group. “We’ve found tremendous enthusiasm for the sport and Ward throughout the United States.”

Burton finished 14th in the Winston Cup point standings in 2001, following consecutive top-10 points finishes the previous two years. He will appear on behalf of CertainTeed’s Roofing and Air Vent divisions at selected NASCAR races, customer events and company manufacturing facilities. Burton is also the spokesman for The Contractors Edge™, CertainTeed’s multi-level business-building credentials program for professional roofing contractors. Burton will make several personal appearances for CertainTeed in 2002.
