Georgia-Pacific, Atlanta, has extended the warranty on its Savannah™ Designer Shingle line from 25 to 30 years. The Savannah shingle is a heavyweight strip with the dimensional, aesthetic boldness of an architectural laminate product. The Savannah shingle Speed Lap Alignment System features a notched side lap, making it easy to determine where the shingles should be aligned both horizontally and vertically. In addition to being covered by a 30-year limited warranty, the Savannah shingle is ASTM code-compliant including D 3018, Type 1; D 3161, Type 1 Wind Resistance (tested to 110 mph); D 3462 and E 108 Class A Fire Resistance and ASTM D3462, Miami-Dade County Certification.

Georgia-Pacific has also extended the warranty for the Summit® Architectural Shingle from 30 to 35 years. The Summit shingle profile is accentuated by a line of darker granules that create a three-dimensional shadow-line, giving the shingle the effect of fine wood shakes. This shingle is also available in an algae-resistant version.
