Teks Adds Standing Seam Roofing Screw for Metal Roofs
Fastener for wood substrates fits flanged and clip-based standing seam systems and began nationwide distribution April 7.

Teks has launched a standing seam roofing screw designed for wood decking and framing in flanged and clip-based metal roofing systems.
Introduced in April, the fastener has a low-profile pancake head to sit flush and help reduce panel dimpling. A sharp point is designed for faster starts in wood, and coarse threads provide holding power.
The screw also uses a T25 star drive for improved bit engagement and reduced cam-out.
It is available nationwide online and in stores through The Home Depot, Amazon and participating building materials suppliers, lumberyards and hardware retailers.
For installers, the screw is intended for standing seam applications where panel appearance and fastening performance both matter.
In flanged systems, the low-profile head helps the fastener sit flush; in clip-based assemblies, it is designed for clip or attachment-point fastening on wood substrates commonly used in residential and light commercial projects.
