Garland Adds KEE-Stone Legacy Thermoplastic Membrane
New KEE-Stone Legacy membrane combines KEE chemistry, non-phthalate plasticizers and mass balance technology to support durability and increased renewable material use.

The Garland Company has introduced KEE-Stone Legacy, a fleece-backed thermoplastic roofing membrane designed to meet ASTM D4434 Type III standards. The product incorporates ELVALOY ketone ethylene ester (KEE) above the scrim to enhance durability and long-term performance, based on field-tested formulations.
Below the scrim, the membrane uses non-phthalate, bio-based liquid plasticizers intended to improve flexibility while reducing reliance on conventional materials. The formulation also incorporates bio-based ELVALOY developed in partnership with Dow and uses mass balance technology to increase renewable content in the product.
According to the company, the membrane is designed to divert plastic from landfills using alternative raw materials. The system aims to balance environmental considerations with performance requirements for commercial roofing applications.
KEE-Stone Legacy expands Garland’s thermoplastic membrane offerings and is positioned for use in commercial building envelope systems where durability, flexibility and material sustainability are priorities.
