Un trabajador de la construcción resultó gravemente herido el 3 de abril en un sitio de centro de datos de Google en LaGrange, Georgia, y fue rescatado desde un techo a aproximadamente 50 pies de altura, según informaron autoridades locales.

El Departamento de Bomberos de LaGrange respondió al incidente alrededor de las 2:47 p.m. en una obra ubicada en Pegasus Parkway. Al llegar, los equipos encontraron al trabajador lesionado mientras realizaba labores en una posición elevada de la estructura.

Debido a la altura y la complejidad del rescate, los bomberos desplegaron equipo adicional, incluida una plataforma aérea. En conjunto con Troup County AMR y el personal en el sitio, los socorristas brindaron atención médica y estabilizaron al trabajador antes de trasladarlo al borde del techo.

El trabajador fue asegurado y descendido de forma segura al suelo mediante la plataforma aérea, y posteriormente fue trasladado en helicóptero a un centro regional de trauma. Las autoridades informaron que el trabajador se encontraba en condición grave pero estable.
