Burns and Scalo Roofing Company has officially opened its doors to its new, state-of-the-art headquarters located in Gahanna, Ohio.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on April 15. With nearly 75 in attendance, guests included Columbus area business leaders, Chamber of Commerce President Derrick Clay, Gahanna Mayor Laurie Jadwin, and other local government officials.
The celebration kicked off with welcome speeches by Scalo Companies President and CEO Jack Scalo, Scalo Companies Senior Vice President John Scalo, and Burns and Scalo Ohio Vice President Brian Exline. Burns and Scalo employees and Gahanna city officials celebrate the opening of the commercial contractor's new headquarters.
“It was a great day for community members to come out and celebrate this brand-new facility,” said Brian Exline, vice president of Burns and Scalo Ohio. “The building has been in the works for a while now, and it felt surreal to finally be able to share it with everyone.”
Exline said the state-of-the-art building helps cement Burns and Scalo as a leading commercial roofing, metal wall panel, and solar contractor in the Columbus area. The company has been a long-time member of the Top 100 list and was named RC's 2015 Commercial Contractor of the Year.
“With its cutting-edge metal panel exterior and modern interior space, this building is a perfect representation of the innovative nature and progressive culture of Burns and Scalo," said Exline.
Senior Vice President John Scalo expressed excitement about what the new headquarters means for the future of the company.
“The new headquarters will allow us to serve our regional clients and partners more efficiently,” said Scalo. “This is a historic time for the company and our legacy brand, as we celebrate our 70th anniversary next year.”
Scalo described this investment as a strategic move that works toward his overall vision for the company’s future.
“Our mission is to continue building our generational legacy as the safest, most reputable roofing, solar, and wall cladding installer in the region,” said Scalo. “This building is a monumental step in that direction."
With a 35,000 square-foot building situated on nine acres of land, the new headquarters will serve as a regional hub to fuel growth throughout Ohio and neighboring states.
