The Roofing Technology Think Tank, or RT3 — a group of progressive roofing professionals focused on technology solutions for the roofing industry — will host a seminar session aimed at improving operations for roofing companies.

IRE Seminar Session

Title: Navigating the Technology Landscape
Speakers: Kyrah Coker, President and CFO, National Roofing Partners; Heidi Ellsworth, President, RoofersCoffeeShop; John Kenney, CEO, Cotney Consulting Group; John Kiesel, President, Division 7 Roofing; Wendy Marvin, President, Matrix Roof & Home
Date: Friday, Feb. 21, 8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Room: 214CD

During the 2025 International Roofing Expo, RT3 members will participate in a panel discussion at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 21. The session, titled “Navigating the Technology Landscape,” will involve RT3 members sharing resources, tips and advice for navigating the ever-changing and growing field of technology in roofing.

“Technology is advancing at such a rapid pace that it can be hard to understand the changes and what that can mean for your business,” said Karen Edwards, RT3’s director.

“Our members met throughout this past year to develop resources to help contractors navigate the tech landscape,” she added. “This panel shares those concepts and guides contractors on their technology journey.”

The panel will guide contractors through a business maturity assessment to identify pain points and explore how technology can help them advance. Then, a technology resource will outline available solutions, share how other contractors use them, and advise on key vendor questions and considerations for business scaling.

In addition, the team will share the do’s and don’ts of using AI in roofing businesses and how to ensure they are using it responsibly and ethically.

The panel is moderated by Heidi J. Ellsworth and participants include RT3 members John Kiesel, Division 7 Roofing; Wendy Marvin, Matrix Roof & Home Solutions; Kyrah Coker, National Roofing Partners; and John Kenney, Cotney Consulting Group.
