Benjamin Obdyke Inc., Horsham, Pa., has introduced Xtractor Vent™, a new sectional shingle-over ridge vent designed to extract heat and moisture out of the attic. Xtractor Vent XLP is a low-profile ridge vent designed specifically for a fast installation with the use of a nail gun. Xtractor Vent X18 is designed to provide maximum ventilation – 18 square inches of net-free area per linear foot. Both are injection molded, polypropylene ridge vents made in 4-foot sections. The vents contain an external and internal “sine-wave” shaped baffle that prevent wind-driven rain and snow infiltration.
