Beacon announced on Tuesday that it signed a purchase agreement to acquire Smalley & Company, a regional waterproofing distributor headquartered in Denver, with 11 locations throughout the Mountain West.

Beacon acknowledged that the purchase of Smalley announced in an April 2 news release, is subject to the majority approval of the employee-owned company as part of its Employee Stock Ownership Plan and Trust agreement. 

Smalley & Company has been providing sealant and waterproofing solutions to contractors, design professionals, and owners since 1967. Beacon said the firm is a regional industry leader and a vital link in the supply chain to contractors performing a wide range of applications in the new construction and restoration markets.

“The team’s technical know-how is at the top of the industry, and we look forward to closing this acquisition so that we can welcome Smalley employees to Beacon and begin serving customers with our expanded products and services,” said Martin Harrell, Beacon’s division president, Waterproofing.
