Owens Corning is offering new content and capabilities in its Owens Corning University. The roofing manufacturer has released a revamped “OCU 2.0” platform inspired by contractor feedback, making it easy to navigate courses and identify content to support every member of a contractor’s team. 

Today’s roofing contractors continue to invest in ongoing education to help refine their business, scale the organization, and provide a meaningful path for employees to continue to develop and grow. The new OCU experience enhances owner capabilities, provides new educational material, and encourages ongoing learning through modular paths to help support their training investment.

“As an owner of a business, you now have the opportunity and capability to manage that learning experience with your entire team, so owners and location managers within the system are able to assign, track and develop course structures and pathways within the system,” said Jon Gardner, senior leader, strategic partnerships and learning and development

The following are some highlights of the new content and capabilities:

• Tracking capabilities – Owners and location managers can assign, track, and review their team’s learning progress, creating an environment where learning is continually advancing. System-generated analytics provide insights on progress.

• Smart Snacks – Snackable content will be offered around new topics including ventilation, sales, storm, and lead generation, with modular and video-based learning tracks made for the modern learner that can be digested in 15 minutes or less from a phone or a computer.

• File Vault – Owners and location managers can upload their own learning content in a variety of file types into the OCU platform, providing a one-stop destination for all training materials.

Now in its fifth year, the OCU platform offers 24/7 access to a host of training topics designed to help support the growth of a contractor’s business and the development of their employees, supporting all aspects of their business. Along with the online academy, Owens Corning University includes live and on-demand webinar series. A library of on-demand webinars is also available.
