Bone Dry Roofing partnered with roofing materials manufacturer, Owens Corning, and the Nashville Sounds to donate a roof and all associated labor and materials to a deserving first responder in the Nashville area. 

The announcement was made and presented to Laura Sanderson, a Davidson County Sheriff’s Office [DCSO] booking supervisor, at the Sept. 9 Nashville Sounds game, played during the team’s First Responder Weekend. According to a release, Sanderson received the most nominations through Bone Dry Roofing’s online nomination form and will receive a new roof as a thank you for her service to Davidson County. 

“We are thrilled to give back to our community by providing our roofing services to a first responder who gives so much of their own selfless time and skills to the Nashville area,” said Bone Dry Roofing’s Nashville Branch Manager, Wes Hayes. “For more than 30 years, giving back to our local communities has been at the cornerstone of what we do at Bone Dry, and we’re proud to be able to provide safety, security and peace of mind to someone so deserving.”  

Each year, Bone Dry Roofing teams across the Midwest participate in various charity events, host fundraisers and community clean-ups, and provide other forms of assistance to nonprofit and local organizations. As an active participant of Habitat for Humanity, partner of Helping Veterans and Families, supply drive coordinator of National Women in Roofing and more, Bone Dry Roofing is committed to giving back to the communities they serve. 

Sanderson has worked for DCSO for nearly 20 years as a booking supervisor. Her tasks include acting as a liaison with DCSO booking sergeants and corporals. Her close friend nominated her to receive a new roof because of her hard work, dedication and commitment to her job and selflessness as a single mother. She has spent many hours remodeling her current home, so a new roof is a significant investment that will have a big impact on her home.
