Macomb, Mich.-based concern, The Roof Resource, announced plans on June 20 to offer interested parties an opportunity to jump into the roofing contractor space through a franchising program the company calls revolutionary and innovative.

In a news release, the Detroit-area concern says it has …” emerged as a disruptive force in the roofing industry by providing Michigan homeowners with a first-of-its-kind service that simplifies the entire process of roof replacement with at-cost pricing for consumers.”

Roof Resource_Harvey_CEO.pngThe company, founded in 2020, lays out its roots as describing to “eliminate the stress and complexity of one of the most significant investments homeowners make,” the release stated, in part. The business model was developed according to the company by founder and CEO Michael Harvey.

Harvey is said to envision “…a world where all roofing components would be available at cost pricing in one convenient location, ensuring transparency, trust, and a win-win situation for all parties…” involved.

"We have completely changed the roof-buying experience for homeowners," Harvey said in the statement. “We walk you through our step-by-step process and show how the numbers are calculated; we provide workmanship warranties, lifetime shingle warranties, and a preferred roofing network that represents the best roofing and installation companies in the business.”

The founder added that the company aims to offer “…transparency, honesty, quality, and a stress-free experience from initial pricing to installation and cleanup, at significant cost savings to our customers."

The company says The Roof Resource offers a 100% “virtual” experience, allowing homeowners to complete the sales process from their homes, eliminating high-pressure in-person sales meetings. It claims a wide selection of designer and popular brand shingles for homeowners. The company says it provides a breakdown of “every penny” spent on its project; its installation companies are licensed, insured, and vetted to guarantee the highest-quality workmanship.

Well-known contractor Adam Helfman, who made a name for himself in the Detroit construction market through an early, local version of Angi’s List, regular radio appearances and other publicity opportunities, has been brought in as an advisor and named Chief Marketing Officer.

In the release, The Roof Resource said Helfman, a fourth-generation contractor, will leverage his expertise to take the brand nationally through franchising. The company has also partnered with SMB Franchise Consultants to help further its innovative home-based business model and nationwide expansion.
