Police in Lakewood, N.J., arrested and charged a Manchester Township man related to a string of burglaries at building supply companies.

According to a story from The Lakewood Scoop, Jesse Vonderlin, 39, was arrested after a two-month investigation. From November 2022 to January 2023, the Lakewood Police Department responded to numerous burglaries at several building material supply companies. According to Lakewood Police Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith, at each of the crime locations, a light-colored Jeep Liberty was spotted in the area or on the property at the time of each incident.

Police claim they discovered the vehicle was registered to Vonderlin. He could also be seen on video surveillance committing the crimes. Additional follow-up resulted in police seizing roofing material at Vonderlin's home believed to have been taken from a Beacon Building Products branch.

Vonderlin has been charged with five counts of burglary, one count of receiving stolen property and one count resisting arrest by flight. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail.
