ITASCA, Ill. — WernerCo. announced new leadership changes for the North America Sales and Channel Marketing divisions. To better serve customers and support the company’s global strategic pillars, the North America Sales and Channel Marketing functions will evolve to provide the best operational efficiencies. Two important leadership appointments have been announced as a result.

Don Freeman has been promoted to president of the North America Professional Business Unit, reporting to the Global CEO of WernerCo. In this role, Freeman will continue to lead the Professional Sales team and expand his new role to now include Channel Marketing. Freeman has more than 20 years of experience, including leadership roles in sales, marketing, channel management and product development. He has spent the last four years at Werner as a senior vice president of sales, focused on delivering innovative thinking and high-impact solutions for our professional customers.

“I am excited to continue my focus on the professional channel and continue to work closely with our customers to help deliver value and find ways to best service our end-users,” said Freeman.

Kevin Blossom, formerly senior vice president of sales, has been promoted to president of the North America Retail Business Unit, also reporting to the Global CEO of WernerCo. Under Blossom's leadership, he will continue to lead the Retail Sales team and expand his role to now include Channel Marketing. Blossom has spent the past 25 years in senior roles, including leading sales, marketing and product development. His strategic planning skills and proven track record will continue to positively impact his team, customers and partners.

“We’re investing in our retail partner relationships,” said Blossom. “We’re focused on enhanced category insights, sales support, online engagement, strategic planning and operational excellence. As we continue to expand our team, we’ll look forward to building on the great progress we have already made.”

Both of these new roles will lead their individual business units, which will include setting the operational and strategic priorities across the North America region. As part of these newly created roles, both Freeman and Blossom will review the best resources required to advance customer service and deliver on the strategic goals to ensure an excellent experience for the end-user.

“Don’s and Kevin’s expertise and vision provide our sales and channel marketing teams with the knowledge and insight needed to offer exceptional support to our customers in North America,” said Gary Scott, CEO at WernerCo. “Their strategic leadership will play an integral role as we move our organization forward and continue to introduce innovative user-centric products.”
