Much like roofing contractors, teachers need proper supplies to do their jobs. It’s in part why Stonewater Roofing in Tyler, Texas is accepting applications from teachers who need supplies for the 2022-23 school year.

Now in its fourth year, the roofing contractor’s #ClearTheList contest provides the supplies teachers need for their classrooms. According to the company’s website, last year ended up being the contractor’s largest school supply drop ever, hand-delivering books, games, pens, stickers, and more to instructors ranging from elementary through high school. A total of nine teachers had their wish lists fulfilled.

The #ClearTheList movement began as a social media phenomenon. School districts are unable to afford purchasing all of the supplies needed for classrooms, so many educators started relying on the kindness of online strangers, posting their wish lists and sharing the registries on social media with the #ClearTheList hashtag. The campaign became a viral sensation.

Nominations must include a short video and a link to an Amazon Wishlist for supplies. Stonewater Roofing is accepting nominations until July 11 on its website. Winners are chosen at random, and once they’ve been selected, employees with Stonewater will deliver overstuffed boxes full of supplies to teachers before the new school year begins.
