National Women in Roofing (NWiR) invites women to redefine success with the help of this year's NWiR Day keynote speaker.

Author and leadership development consultant Heather Whelpley will be the keynote speaker during NWiR Day, held Jan. 30 in New Orleans. Whelpley works with women to help them let go of expectations and create their own rules for life. She draws on her own experiences of confronting behaviors like feeling the need to always say yes to help others experience more joy and freedom.

In her presentation, "Creating Your Own Rules For Success: How To Let Go Of Perfect and Live Your Truth," Whelpley will use a seamless blend of heartfelt, personal stories and practical tools to help attendees:

• Understand the rules they're playing by now, where they come from and if they still make sense
• Redefining success on their own terms
• Create a new set of rules to align with personal values, goals and the impact they want to have

Now in its fifth year, NWiR Day is a one-day conference where women professionals in the roofing industry can gather and learn about the latest strategies and tactics to grow their success. Highlight sessions from this year's event include "45 Marketing Tips in 45 Minutes," "Workplace Conflict De-Escalation," "Financial & Retirement Planning for Women," and "Fighting Mental Health and Suicide Epidemic in Construction."

NWiR Day is held the day before the 2022 International Roofing Expo, which takes place Feb. 1-3 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
