HERNDON, Va. — Beacon announced the finalists in its inaugural Female Roofing Professional of the Year contest, a North American program shining a spotlight on inspiring women in the roofing industry. Beacon encourages the public to vote for these distinguished finalists now through June 7 by visiting the Female Roofing Professional of the Year contest website.

“We were overwhelmed by the response during our first year running this contest,” said Jamie Samide, vice president of marketing at Beacon. “Over 1,800 submissions from the U.S. and Canada flooded in demonstrating the tremendous impact women are having on the industry and their communities. It was almost impossible to select just five finalists and we are proud to share their unique and powerful profiles. We encourage the public to show their support by voting for one of them to be named the Female Roofing Professional of the Year."

From March 8 through April 19, Beacon solicited the nomination of outstanding female roofing professionals. The submissions have been narrowed to the following five finalists:

• Greta Bajrami – Golden Group Roofing Westborough, Mass.
• Agata Opoka – Design & Development Group, Co. Schaumburg, Ill.
• Stephanie Pouse – Brahma Roofing & Construction Windsor, Co.
• Jessica Reid – Reid's Roofing and Insulation Saint Albert, Alberta, Canada
• Camila Santander – ASA Roofing Inc. Alexandria, Va.
