CANTON, Mass. — Sika Sarnafil announced the upcoming retirement of one of its anchors in technical services, Joseph Schwetz

After more than 37 years working in the roofing industry, the last 22 at Sika, Schwetz will be retiring this summer as vice president of technical services.

“Joe has done an incredible job for us and he will be sorely missed," said Stanley Graveline, Sika's senior vice president of technical services and sustainability. "We wish him and his wife, Chris, the very best as they embark on the next phase of their lives.” 

Along with Schwetz's retirement, Sika announced the following promotions: Michael Darsch and Darryl Terry have been promoted to director of technical services, East and West respectively; and Chen Collin has been promoted to the position of codes, approvals and sustainability specialist.

Terry joined company in 1994, having most recently served as the technical manager for the West-South region. Darsch joined Sika in 2012 and has served in a variety of product management and technical roles. Chen was a CAD drafter in the corporate technical department since his start in 2018.

“All three individuals have been exceptional performers for us, and their promotions are very much deserved. With these moves we expect to further enhance the quality and timeliness of the technical service we provide to our customers and our sales team,” Graveline said.
