BELOIT, Wis. — ABC Supply Co. Inc. recently completed its fourth and final “Military Makeover” of 2020. The latest veteran to receive a free home remodel with help from the TV show is Corporal Jacob Tabora and his family in Texas. The season premieres Nov. 20.

Tabora served as a tank gunner at the Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center in Twentynine Palms, Calif. During training before deployment to Iraq, a malfunctioning round exploded inside Tabora’s tank and covered him in second- and third-degree burns over more than half his body.

After five years in recovery, Tabora started to feel like himself but still suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. He has remained resilient, though, and since his recovery has completed his degree in criminal justice from University of Texas at San Antonio and started a family with his wife, Ceanna. They have two sons and one daughter.

“Jacob’s service to our country as a marine and his perseverance during his recovery is inspirational,” said Mike Jost, COO of ABC Supply. “We are proud to support him and his family by assisting in the renovation of their home.”

ABC Supply wanted to make sure the family’s home was safe and protected, so they donated doors and durable, low-maintenance and energy-efficient Norandex eXtreme Series 8000 windows. Lopez Glass generously donated their time to help install these materials.

The Tabora family’s “Military Makeover” season airs on Lifetime network. The episodes will also be available to watch at militarymakeover.tv. Read about other families that ABC Supply has supported through “Military Makeover” on the company’s blog.
