GRAYSLAKE, Ill. — Sheet Metal Supply announced the purchase of two machines that will provide the capability to produce heavier, longer and more precise products for the glazing industry as well as more precise custom substructural components for the façade products it already produces.

Sheet Metal Supply has purchased a Safan Darley E-Brake 130T-4100 and an AccurShear 625020 to add to its fleet of machinery at the new Grayslake, Ill., facility.

The new E-brake allows for servo-electronic bending with an E for even bending and offers 30% higher productivity and up to 50% energy savings with lower CO2 emissions. The AccurShear features a 20-foot blade and can shear metal up to .25 inches thick.

“We’re always seeking ways to better provide our customers with the highest quality products we can, including new offerings that make sense for their business,” said Ben Kweton, vice president of Sheet Metal Supply. “The acquisition of the Safan Darley brake and the AccurShear expands our capabilities and complements our current offering.”
