BOCA RATON, Fla. — Venture Construction Group of Florida (VCGFL) earned the prestigious 2020 Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Pinnacle Award for Safety. This award recognizes VCGFL's commitment to advancement of safe practices in the workplace.

"On the jobsite, on the road and in the community, the team at Venture Construction Group of Florida exemplifies a safety culture. We are honored to present the Pinnacle Award to a company committed to the highest levels of safety and responsible roofing," said Michael Schneider, contractor marketing leader, Owens Corning Roofing.

VCGFL is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, which are the top tier members of a vetted, exclusive network and meet strict standards for professionalism, reliability and unparalleled craftmanship for inclusion.

"Safety is paramount in the construction industry. This esteemed recognition reflects our continued focus on bringing a results-oriented, customer-driven approach to running our business and delivering trustworthy, dependable work for our clients," said Stephen Shanton, CEO and president of VCGFL.

Dedicated to advanced safety protocols and standards, VCGFL has a full-time OSHA safety monitor on staff to supervise projects. All senior management hold the OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certificates, which provide advanced tools regarding health and safety awareness to reduce the risk of workplace hazards. All employees have attended the OSHA Awareness Training on fall protection, forklift operations, scaffolding and flagger operations.

The team also holds First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications, and the company has installed AED defibrillator devices onsite at all offices. VCGFL is unique in that it requires all staff members to attend ongoing OSHA Awareness and First Aid/CPR/AED training sessions, including emergency response teams and disaster recovery specialists, field staff and office personnel. VCGFL is committed to consistent safety measures across the board.

Hailed as an industry trailblazer, Shanton has equipped VCGFL offices and jobsites with the most advanced technology in the industry. Staff and crews monitor jobsites 24/7 with EarthCam webcam services and 4G LTE TrueLook cameras that provide high definition security and project time-lapsing video on each and every project in progress. These tools allow the company to protect their clients, properties, staff and critical infrastructure.

VCGFL utilizes Matterport 3D cameras that record a full-scale 360-degree three-dimensional view of jobsites, which allows them to monitor and document construction projects with high resolution megapixel cameras and view all jobsite activity in real time.

"Venture will always be committed to utilizing the latest and greatest apps, software, and technology to provide the most advanced level of service and safety to our customers and our staff. We have so many amazing tools at our fingertips these days that enhance safety, performance and reporting. It's an exciting time for the construction industry," said Shanton.
