Dear Roofing Contractor readers,

The COVID-19 pandemic has pushed us all to change. BNP Media — the parent company of RC and dozens of other B2B publications — announced that it will focus exclusively on digital delivery of our content. That means the June 2020 issue will be the final regularly circulated print edition of RC.

We at RC are excited because we are perfectly positioned for this move. We’ve spent nearly 40 years publishing a monthly magazine committed to sharing the best and most relevant information for roofing contractors and other industry professionals. As innovators, we began building a strong digital foundation at Roofingcontractor.com more than 25 years ago and continue to grow an audience by sharing engaging and relevant content in a way we know our readers want to receive it.

As leaders in the B2B space we’ve already invested in digital platforms knowing we were headed in this direction. We planned to phase out print operations in a few years and that plan is now accelerated, which has given us a jumpstart to creatively expand how we deliver content. We’re already converting to a more digital-friendly layout of our digital edition where you’ll have more interactive clicking capabilities and access to more information. We’re improving the overall digital experience with RC by including more visual content like videos, photos, infographics and other features in development.

Now, there are a few things you must know:

  • Nothing is Stopping! Just as we have since 1981, RC’s dedicated staff remains committed to sharing the stories and vital information that will help move the entire industry forward. We’re also going to use our multiple digital platforms and events to help connect contractors with the people and companies that will help their businesses thrive.
  • New Opportunities. Our digital growth means understanding more about our readers through data. We’re now better able to focus on the overall RC reader experience you get when visiting Roofingcontractor.com, and we’re also going to be able to provide more of the roofing-related news and information that you want, when and how you want it.
  • Exciting Times. As uncertain as these times may be, one of the things we’ve always prided ourselves on is our ability to adapt. To creatively find ways to help you connect better with your customer and grow. We’re innovators who are up to the challenge and excited!

Changing how to do things after operating a certain way for years will have its challenges. The COVID-19 pandemic and ensuing economic crisis has made overcoming that challenge a necessity for roofing contractors looking not only to endure, but excel when all this uncertainty comes to an end. We’re in the same boat — truly all in this together. So let’s keep moving forward.

Sincerely,

Jill Bloom
