NMC Exterior President is First Female Appointed to Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Advisory Board

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — Molly Mortenson, president of NMC Exteriors & Remodeling of greater Minneapolis, is among 14 Owens Corning Platinum Preferred roofing contractors to join the Platinum Advisory Board. The honor is awarded to contractors who have demonstrated a commitment to sustained excellence in all aspects of their business including customer service, operations and quality.

“Owens Corning Roofing is excited to introduce Molly Mortenson to our Platinum Advisory Board. Molly is the first female to join the board and we are already benefiting from her contributions," said Gunner Smith, president of Owens Corning Roofing.

The Owens Corning Roofing Platinum Advisory Board represents an elite group of contractors who share their market, product and technical expertise with the Toledo-based roofing manufacturer. Members of the Platinum Advisory Board bring a contractor’s perspective to studying and evaluating products.

Members also share insights that support continuous improvement and drive the development of industry-leading innovations in the roofing sector. Over 300 Platinum Contractors attended Owens Corning Roofing 15th annual, three-day conference in Marco Island, Fla. on March 9-11.

“We look forward to representing fellow Owens Corning Platinum Contractor members," said Mortenson. "It’s an honor to share NMC’s 20 years of leadership and experience with the Platinum Advisory Board. Our goal is to pursue new developments in roofing and deliver beneficial innovations."

In addition to the appointment of Mortenson, NMC received Owens Corning Roofing’s 2020 Product Excellence award. NMC won this same category in 2019. The award reflects being an industry leader in roofing product knowledge and dedication to informing homeowners, so educated decisions can be made with confidence.

NMC Exteriors was among the roofing contractors included in RC's 2018 Top 100 Roofing Contractors list, and has been a guest presenter at RC's annual Best of Success conference held every fall. The contractor also helped form the United Association of Storm Restoration Contractors.
