Roofing contractors with a passion for molding employees into skilled workers can enroll in the Qualified Trainer Conference held by the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA).

The conference is focused on energizing key employees by educating them in new training techniques alongside recruiting methods. By completing the small-group presentations and coaching exercises, attendees will earn the NRCA Qualified Trainer designation. These are professional trainers and coaches for roofing companies that gain access to the NRCA’s training resources.

According to the NRCA website: “With the prospect of workforce shortages continuing in the roofing industry, companies need to ensure they are maximizing the productivity of every employee. By offering exceptional worker training to new hires and midcareer workers, you will help retain existing employees and attract new ones.”

Sessions will include role play coaching scenarios in a hands-on shop environment. Employees who attend the conference will come away with the skills to keep trainees engaged, create effective hands-on training environments, conduct positive one-on-one training sessions and how to write and stick to training objectives.

Before participating in the conferences, participants are asked to take a one-hour webinar addressing classroom presentation skills. Webinar times and dates are included with registration confirmation.
