GILETTE, Wyo. – Wyoming Roofing earned the distinction of being named the 2019 Small Employer of the Year by the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS).

The DWS presented the award during its 2019 Safety & Workforce Summit Awards Ceremony, held earlier this summer. The award has been a tradition within the DWS for the past seven years to recognize small businesses for their hiring and safety practices.

The recognition is the latest award the roofing contractor has received this year. In March, the U.S. Small Business Administration Wyoming District Office named Wyoming Roofing President Ryan Gregory as the 2019 Small Business Person of the Year.

“Being recognized for Small Business Employer of the Year by Workforce Development and SBA for Small Business Person of the Year for our State of Wyoming has been very humbling,” Gregory said.

Wyoming Roofing’s mission is to build the best company in the industry by putting its communities and employees first. The company hires most of its candidates from Wyoming Workforce Services, with a preference for hiring veterans

“Our amazing team deserves all the credit for these accolades,” Gregory said. “They ride for the brand, maintain an honorable workplace, and are passionate about proving that customer experience and giving back are what makes a great company.”

Along with these awards, Wyoming Roofing was given two national awards by Owens Corning in 2018 for performance and excellence as a good steward in the industry. Along with that award, the Sheridan County Board of Realtors awarded Wyoming Roofing the Business of the Year for 2018.

Wyoming Roofing was founded in 1980 as Wyoming Roofing & Supply. Gregory and his wife, Bonnie, purchased the business from the previous owner in 2012 after working for the previous owner. Since then, it has grown to two fully-staffed offices and is one of 300 Owens Corning Platinum Preferred contractors in the nation.

The Wyoming DWS is committed to ensuring all Wyoming businesses are safe places to work. The Wyoming OSHA Division provides for the administration of rules and regulations for the prevention of accidents and occupational diseases.
