Engineered Polymer Solutions (EPS®) will present its high-performance resins for roof coatings at the Florida Roofing & Sheet Metal Expo, in Kissimmee, Fla. on July 17-19.
The EPS line of resins includes EPS® 2719, an innovative acrylic emulsion for both basecoat and topcoat formulations, designed to minimize asphalt bleed-through in cool roof coatings, while maintaining flexibility and toughness. Roof coatings based on EPS 2719 also offer UV and dirt pickup resistance, as well as excellent adhesion to asphaltic and other common construction substrates.
EPS will also showcase the product, EPS® 2570, a direct-to-metal, self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion that offers corrosion, chemical and early water resistance, in addition to excellent gloss and rapid hardness development. EPS 2570 provides the capability to formulate coatings at <100g/L VOC.
“EPS develops technology to help roof coatings manufacturers stay proactive and enhance the performance and durability of their roof coatings,” said Henry Bunch, Senior Global Vice President for EPS. “Our products can be formulated to offer outstanding protection against chemical and environmental stresses.”
