FARMERS BRANCH, Texas — Chamberlin was awarded nine A/E/C industry awards for their quality workmanship, dedication to safety and trade development in 2018.

“These awards could not have been achieved without the teamwork and values that Chamberlin upholds each and every day in the workplace,” the company said in a release.

The first was the Associated General Contractors (AGC) San Antonio SAFE Award. Chamberlin received the 2018 AGC San Antonio Safe Specialty Contractor of the Year award for their dedication to safety all day, every day.

The second was an Engineering News-Record (ENR) TX & LA Best Project Merit Award. Chamberlin said it “recently had the pleasure of working on the new Rolex Building, designed by HDF Architects and Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, which features a unique blend of innovative architecture and gardens. The building forms a twisted tower with a series of stacked floor plates that stagger, gradually rotating, to create the impression of a twisted building.” ENR TX & LA presented Chamberlin with the Best Project Merit Award for their waterproofing and roofing work on this esteemed building. This awards program acknowledges five criteria, including safety, innovation and teamwork. It is an honor for Chamberlin to be recognized for the hard work put into this project.

Next was an award from the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) San Antonio for Best of the Best Specialty Contractor. The award was given for the company’s work on the Methodist TNI Parking Garage. This is the highest honor of their Excellence in Construction (EIC) Award competition.

Last, ABC's EIC Award competition is the construction industry’s premier annual awards program recognizing outstanding merit shop projects. The projects are evaluated by local owners, architects and engineers on safety, execution of design, craftsmanship, attention to detail and installation. Chamberlin's work on six different projects won first or second place in their local chapter's ABC EIC awards programs and qualifies them to compete in the 2018 National ABC EIC awards program.

The six projects were:

  • Methodist TNI Parking Garage
  • International Center Phase VII (Rolex)
  • OU Cross Village
  • Querencia Balcony Repairs
  • The Buckingham
  • Confidential

The nine awards come less than six months after the company announced awards it earned earlier in the year.
