Earlier this year, Reliant Roofing announced in a surprise ceremony their selection of two local families to receive new roofs.

 CEO Sean Shapiro said, "Our ultimate goal with Every Shingle Heart was to bring our community together and help as many people as possible. With this in mind, we have chosen the Samaritan Food Pantry as the third recipient of our 2018 Every Shingle Heart Initiative. This organization provides food and other supplies to those in need. Their volunteers are the nicest people, who truly care about the individuals who live in their community. Their facility has been damaged heavily by hurricanes and hail, and we felt that the food pantry deserved to have someone help them for a change."

Reliant Roofing will begin replacement of the new roof on Saturday, Nov. 17. That day, the team will also be hosting a food drive to benefit the Samaritan Food Pantry. Non-perishable Thanksgiving dinner food items can be dropped off between 8 a.m.-3 p.m. Donations are being accepted Nov. 1 through Nov. 19. Items can be dropped off from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. at United Christian Church located at 590 North 7th Street Macclenny, Fla. 32063.

Pastor Mitch Rhoden of the Samaritan Food Pantry said, “We appreciate anybody that can help us feed 1,000 people or more per month. Reliant Roofing is helping us do what God has called us to do, which is help care for the residents in our community in Baker County. We are just so appreciative and thankful for the roof replacement donation along with the Thanksgiving food drive that Reliant Roofing is hosting on our behalf. We feed 1,000 people or more a month and that number will be even higher during the holiday months. The need for help here is great, so this roof and food donation is such a blessing and we can't express enough how much we appreciate all the help!"
