Tando shake and stone products, marketed as TandoShake™ and TandoStone™, manufactured by Derby Building Products, represents new categories in exterior cladding. The company will debut a specialty line of TandoShake manufactured with Signature Stain, a technology that imparts a true semi-transparent stain to the polymer shake product line with an unrivaled level of realism. Tando’s SignatureStain™ Collection debuts in March 2017

The new Tando brand of shake and stone comes from the team behind Novik, which acquired Exteria Building Products in June 2016. Tando combines the best of what Novik and Exteria offered under a single brand name and is perfect for pro contractors and builders.

According to Ralph Bruno, president of Derby Building Products, who is helping to lead the category shift from wood and stone to Tando’s easy to install, low-maintenance product lines, “The Signature Stain technology applied to TandoShake is an industry-first that will give building and design professionals a leg up on the competition--it’s truly a game-changer in exterior product performance and aesthetics. In addition to looking just like stained wood, Signature Stain has a proprietary UV protection that offers an industry leading warranty.”

The category-defining, low-maintenance TandoShake Signature Stain Collection will consist of six colors and will be launched at the end of March, along with sister-brand TandoStone, which also invents another category as an authentic, lighter and more workable option to stone or stone veneer.
