The VORTEX by Skyco Skylights is an extreme weather rated, leak-free venting base. Turn large square foot warehouses and industrial buildings into fresh air space. The VORTEX is an innovative redesign of the old louver system. It's designed to work under the harshest of weather. A cost-effective and energy-efficient unit skylight designed to provide a high-quality, even light distribution combined with natural gravity ventilation. This skylight meets AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S./A440-11 A440 testing requirements, and is engineered with louvers built into base. Standard rain shields are incorporated inside base, and the Unique Skywave Arc design provides even light distribution and 30 percent more surface area. Available in prismatic or smooth dome, as well as curb mounted or self-flashing. The dome provides 70 percent light transmittance, the unit louvered skylights are high-wind rated.
