Spider Hires New Vice President and General Manager
SEATTLE — SafeWorks LLC has recently welcomed David Beckett as vice president and general manager for Spider. He will be based in the Chicago area and will report directly to SafeWorks’ CEO Scott Farrell.
Beckett comes to SafeWorks after an impressive succession of leadership roles at Otis Elevator Company, a unit of United Technologies Corporation. During his 26-year tenure with Otis, he held multiple roles including general management of sales and operations in Seattle and New York City. Most recently, he served as Otis’s regional vice president of new elevator sales and service, covering twelve Midwestern states.
Beckett held P&L accountability for sales, installations and aftermarket services created by 21 business units and more than 1,000 employees, generating sales in excess of $400 million annually. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance from Concordia University, Montreal,
Canada, and an MBA from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y.
