BLACK+DECKER has introduced the new 20V MAX Lithium Cordless Drill with AutoSense^™ Technology — the first drill that is designed to intuitively understand when to stop screws flush with the work surface. According to the company, the drill has an automatic clutch that has proven to be three times more accurate than a mechanical clutch, and it has two modes: drill and drive. In drive mode, a microprocessor continuously measures the tool’s performance. Without the added bulk of a clutch, the drill is a streamlined, compact tool that is easy to use and limits hand fatigue. For added comfort, an over-mold rubber handle offers secure grip and control. A battery status indicator lets you know when the battery needs to be recharged, and an LED work light on the foot of the drill illuminates large work surface areas and reduces shadows.
