NEWTON, Mass. — The 23rdannual METALCON International trade show and conference will be held Oct.1-3 in Atlanta at the Georgia World Congress Center. The event will showcase the metal construction industry’s latest products and ideas via exhibits, a highly rated education program and a variety of live demonstrations of field techniques. The use of metal in building projects is increasing, particularly for retrofit, insulated metal panels and cold-formed steel framing. Specialists will present educational sessions and demonstrations on these topics.

This year, METALCON is also helping expand local opportunities for training and employment through the Georgia Governor’s Office of Workforce Development and by supporting Atlanta-based It’s The Journey Inc., a charitable organization and producer of the Atlanta Two-Day Walk for Breast Cancer.

METALCON draws contractors, designers, builders, developers, fabricators and suppliers from more than 52 countries. Experts from more than 300 companies exhibit the latest products and technology and share their knowledge with attendees, while industry specialists present key topics in the education program.

Since the first METALCON International was held in 1991 in Washington, it has remained the only annual trade show and conference focused on the application of metal in industrial, institutional, light commercial and residential projects. This year’s event features more than 15 educational courses and more than 300 companies exhibiting their new products.
