Product Focus: Metal Fabricating Equipment

September 12, 2013

Portable Rollforming System

• MetalForming •

Quadro Plus combines the best aspects of German engineering and American market savvy. The engineers at Schlebach initially designed a top-quality, single-profile rollformer, but the folks at MetalForming Inc. knew that to meet the requirements of American metal-roofing contractors, they needed a machine that could produce different roof-panel profiles quickly and efficiently, in a factory or out on a jobsite. The result was Quadro Plus, the only machine of its kind in the world with instant changeover from one profile to another by simply rotating tooling cassettes. For more information, visit www.metalforming-usa.com.

Gutter Machines

• GutterSupply.com •

GutterSupply.com distributes a larges variety of gutter machines — from top-of-the-line, free-floating, drive-train machines to reliable and durable steel-rolled machines. Products include 5-, 6- and 7-inch K-Style machines, 5- and 6-inch Combination K-Style machines, 6-inch Half Round machines and 5.5-inch Fascia Style machines. Customers can customize machines to fit their needs or buy the complete package and save. Financing is available. For more information including pricing, spec sheets and gutter-machine manuals, call 888-909-RAIN or visit www.guttersupply.com.

Folding Innovation

• RAS Systems •

RAS Systems has introduced a folding innovation for roofing and architectural profiles. The new XL-Center has a folding length of 126 inches and folds 16-gauge mild steel. By being able to fold a flange up and down, this new model reduces material handling to a minimum with its hands-free operation. Simply load the part, step on the foot pedal and watch the machine fold a perfectly accurate part. Tapering is a standard feature. Also, 300 degrees of free space allows for maximum part-design flexibility. The five servo-regulated motors offer unparalleled speed, and the new PC control makes programming easier than ever. For more information, visit www.ras-systems.com.

Flush Profile

• New Tech Machinery  •

New Tech Machinery now offers a Flush wall/soffit/underdeck profile for the SSQ Roof Panel Machine. This profile will run up to 22-gauge steel and offers 0- to 3-inch reveal in half-inch increments. Hot Melt Sealant interface is available for application. This profile also offers a non-powered perforator option. The SSQ produces up to 15 profiles with just one machine. Change tooling in 45 minutes or less with one wrench, no tape measure. For more information, call 800-574-1717 or visit www.newtechmachinery.com.

Folding Machine Safety System

• AMS Controls •

AMS Controls Inc. now offers a folding-machine safety system created by Lazer Safe. The LS-FM is the first safety platform for folding machines that provides optical protection along the clamping area plus automatic monitoring of clamp motion, stopping performance and speed to ensure maximum safety. In addition, the system can also monitor emergency stop buttons, light curtains, gate interlocks, safety mats and any other safety-related components, providing a complete safety platform. The LS-FM System is available in North America exclusively through AMS Controls as part of its Pathfinder Folding Machine Controls. For more information, visit www.amscontrols.com/ls-fm.

Gang Slitter

• Spar-Marathon •

The Super Slitter from Spar-Marathon is a 48-inch gang slitter. This heavy-duty, pull-through-type slitter features a rugged frame for years of solid, accurate slitting; a gear and chain drive with safety guard; precision-ground, high-carbon, high-chrome tool steel knives as standard equipment; three pairs of cutting knives supplied standard; heavy-gauge steel table for supporting sheets; precision ground shafts mounted between flanged bearings; and a sheet guide on both sides for safe and accurate slitting. It is easily adjustable for light or heavy gauge. For more information, visit www.sparmarathon.ca.
